Job Position Summary: You will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for various metal parts. You will create and maintain manufacturing Routings and Bills of Materials for production of Aerospace components.

You must have:

  • Experience estimating in the aerospace field REQUIRED.
  • The ability to create process template for manufacturing parts
  • Knowledge of outside processes including welding, plating, heat treats, coatings, etc.
  • The ability to estimate and itemize set up, machining times and vendor pricing.
  • Familiarity with machine capabilities and related processes.
  • The ability to read and interpret customer Blueprints, Specifications and Manufacturing Processes.
  • The ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally. 
  • Excellent Interpersonal and customer service skills. 
  • Time Management skills to meet the demand of the customer. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and CAD software. 
  • Well organized, self-directed.
  • Experience in Process Engineering preferred. 

In your role you will:

  • Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required. 
  • Be responsible for acknowledging Request for Quotes (RFQ’s), reviewing, and interpreting technical data.
  • Gather info and quotes from vendors
  • Prepare and complete quote packages for approval and review
  • Maintains a clean organized work area.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.
  • May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses.
  • May have to lift up to thirty (20) pounds at a time, as required.
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
