SUMMARY Â
Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer General Foreman that will be responsible for organizing and directing craft team members based on project schedule, including preparation, handling and supplying of materials to be used by other craft team members. Â
Â
RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work proceduresÂ
- Supervise and coordinate activities of foremen and their assigned craft workersÂ
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job ordersÂ
- Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulationsÂ
- Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules, using knowledge of equipment capacities and assigned personnelÂ
- Study and analyze schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completionÂ
- Analyze and resolve work problemsÂ
- Maintain time recordsÂ
- May make cost estimates for contracts; use logical step-by-step procedures in work; plan work and solve problems; make decisions based on measurable information; may operate machineryÂ
- Provide leadership to other team members and apprentices by displaying resourcefulness, strong work habits, and creativity in problem solving based on information and judgmentÂ
- Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsÂ
- Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performanceÂ
- All other duties as assignedÂ

QUALIFICATIONSÂ
- High School diploma or GEDÂ
- Minimum five (5) years of related experienceÂ
- Previous experience working with tools, equipment, and machineryÂ
- Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedbackÂ
- Ability to determine work method from alternatives; ability to work under broad assignments; works according to well-defined, established procedures and standard, detailed instructions; ability to work with minimum assistance and supervisionÂ
- Repetitive hand, arm, leg movementsÂ
- *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.Â
