Position Summary Assist with the technical operations in the mammography department. Assist the mammography quality control and ensure compliance with MQSA guidelines. Follow quality control procedures. Assist physicians with formulating a medical diagnosis, while complying with safety and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Greet, accept and prepare the patient for mammography and stereotactic guided procedures. Must be able to perform x-ray exams. Assess and document patient’s condition to determine proper handling and special requirements.  Ensure positive experience for the patient while at any PMI facility and uphold company objective for patient satisfaction. Check requisition for physician notes and/or special instructions.   Instruct and assist patients in assuming physical position for appropriate test.  Analyze the monitoring results to determine if any corrective action is necessary. Adhere to procedure protocols as established by the Medical Director.   Enforce radiation safety procedures to provide a safe environment for patients and staff.  Safety procedures for other modalities may apply if certified. Ensure documentation of quality assurance/control testing as required by MQSA. Conduct or train for proper operation of all equipment. Maintain mammography/stereotactic equipment and rooms in proper working condition.  Performs QC on equipment as established by MQSA.  Reports malfunction and necessary repairs to management Arrange for preventative maintenance including calibrations of equipment. Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 1-3 years previous mammography experience. ARRT (M) Certification State of Nevada Mammography license. BLS Certification Ability to do essential job duties. Ability to read, understand, write, speak and follow English instructions. Bilingual preferred. Display superior interpersonal skills for effective communication with patient and peers. Possess superior knowledge of mammography and stereotactic procedures and techniques. MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to manage stress appropriately. Ability to manage time efficiently. Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize effectively. Ability to work alone and/or with others effectively. Ability to work in close proximity to others in a medical office environment. Possess common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form.
