Overview
Amyx is seeking to hire an Acquisition Specialist located in Falls Church, VA.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities and Skills:
- Knowledge of contracting principles, laws regulation and procedures.
- Knowledge of methods and techniques of fact-finding, analysis, and resolution of complex problems, and the ability to develop concrete action plans to solve problems.
- Familiarity with price and cost analysis principles.
- Written communication skills refined sufficiently to: summarize events and technical discussions; prepare recommendations and alternatives document, strategies and outcomes, and correspondence of a persuasive and/or directive nature.
- Verbal communication skills must be developed to the degree that can articulate contractual issues and provide guidance to non-contracting customers regarding provisions, practices, procedures, and problem resolution.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office programs and data management systems
- Must have the ability to communicate accurate information

Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in one of the following: project/program management; logistics; acquisition; requirements generation; life cycle management; acquisition support; purchasing and procurement of DoD supplies and services.
- The experience may reduced to 4 years if the candidate has a Bachelor's Degree.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Knowledge of Federal and DOD acquisition procedures.
