Event Parking Attendant - (PT Seasonal)

Valet Park of America Seeking Directional Attendants in the Amherst area for UMass events, and the West Springfield Area for the Big E for Nights and Weekends!

Other hours and roles may also be available.

We are booking many special events for the upcoming Summer/Fall seasons with some of our clients including but not limited to BIG E and Umass Amherst. We are seeking to build a team of PT staff who will work events in the Western MA area. 

Events are already scheduled for the following days with a potential for more to be added:

 This is a great fit for someone seeking to supplement their regular FT position or a student. 

Travel will be required in the Western MA area to report to the work location.

Pay: $18/hour 

Other shifts are also available to create a FT role if so desired.

Health/Dental insurance is available after 90 days (50/50 split), paid vacation (for FT staff), and sick time. Room for advancement!

General purpose – The primary purpose of this position is to greet and assist customers, direct them where to park their vehicles, and be a visible representative of the establishment we provide services for. 

Minimum Requirements: – All Directional Attendants are required to:

* Have your own transportation

* Have experience working in customer service

* Must speak fluent English to communicate effectively with customers
 
Physical Demands

* Standing and walking for the duration of your shift
* Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers

Work environment – Outdoors for the duration of the shift. Inclement weather (hot, cold, precipitation, etc) will have a significant impact on the employees' work environment. Shifts will not be canceled due to inclement weather and all employees will be required to attend their scheduled shifts, and maintain a high quality of work despite weather conditions.

* Must be available to work weekends and holidays when necessary
* Must have a neat appearance and a good attitude
* All employees are hired on a 30-day trial period. If during that time the employee does not perform their duties to the satisfaction of management, they can be terminated without cause

We are seeking both full-time and part-time staff. Applicants with a background in customer service, hospitality, retail, transportation, and security often make a good fit for this position. We can accommodate day and night shift hours and are flexible with schedules where possible.
