Position Summary:
The Plumber Laborer supports plumbing installation and construction activities by assisting plumbers with material handling, site preparation, tool operation, and basic plumbing tasks. This role requires physical stamina, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a construction team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist journeyman and apprentice plumbers with installation of piping, fixtures, equipment, and plumbing systems.
- Load, unload, transport, and organize plumbing materials, tools, and equipment.
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and prepare work areas for plumbing installation.
- Cut, clean, measure, and assemble pipe and fittings as directed.
- Support installation of water, waste, vent, gas, and storm drainage piping systems.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Remove debris, excess materials, and construction waste from job sites.
- Assist with pressure testing, inspections, and system startup activities.
- Follow project specifications, drawings, and supervisor instructions.
- Observe and comply with all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Attend safety meetings, trainings, and toolbox talks as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
