IT & AI Systems Technician

Job Details: Job Location: ST GEORGE, UT - ST GEORGE, UT, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Help manage and maintain the hardware and systems our team uses every day: corporate servers, Microsoft Azure resources, laptops, cell phones, printers and network equipment across our branches. Play a key role in the setup, administration, and training for our AI tools. It's a hands-on role for someone who likes solving problems and wants to grow a career in IT infrastructure. Essential Functions Set up and administer the company's AI tools, such as Grok, including user access, licenses, permissions, and security and data settings. Act as the first point of contact for AI tool questions, gather feedback, and help the CIO evaluate and roll out new AI features. Keep AI usage aligned with company policy, and update documentation as the tools change. Train employees on AI tools through onboarding sessions, quick how-to guides and one-on-one help, so everyone uses them safely and effectively. Set up, image, deploy, repair and retire employee laptops and desktops, and keep the hardware inventory and asset records up to date. Set up and manage company cell phones, including enrolling devices in mobile device management (MDM) through Microsoft Intune, applying security policies, and handling lost or replaced devices. Handle employee onboarding and offboarding: prepare devices and accounts and collect equipment. Help maintain the servers and Microsoft Azure resources, including monitoring, patches, backups and basic administration of virtual machines and storage. Support branch networking, including switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points and internet circuits, and help troubleshoot connectivity problems. Install and maintain printers and other office equipment, and work with vendors on service and supplies. Answer help desk tickets for hardware, Microsoft 365, AI tools and access issues, and escalate when needed. Work with vendors and carriers (Dell, Verizon and others) on quotes, orders, warranties and returns. Write and update documentation and simple how-to guides for employees. Travel to branch locations occasionally for setups and on-site support. Other job tasks and functions as assigned.Qualifications: 0 to 2 years of IT support experience. A help desk job, an internship, a home lab or school projects all count. A working knowledge of Windows, PC hardware and basic networking (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi). Familiarity with Microsoft 365, plus an interest in learning Azure, Intune and Entra ID. Curiosity about AI tools like Grok and a knack for explaining technology in simple terms. Clear communication and patience with non-technical coworkers. Good organization and follow-through, and the ability to manage several requests at once. A valid driver's license and the ability to lift about 50 lbs. CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft AZ-900 / MD-102, or an associate's degree or coursework in IT.
