Endoscopy Technician

 

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Endoscopy Technician to join our Endoscopy team!  Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. 

 

Position Summary:

The Endoscopy Technician cleans, disinfects, and maintains endoscopic equipment and accessories to assure proper functioning and infection control, while maintaining a clean, safe environment in all areas of the Endoscopy Department. This position assists with ordering and stocking Endoscopy supplies and equipment. This staff member aids in maintaining Endoscopy procedure flow by assisting with room set-up, patient transfer, room turnover and other duties as delegated under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Lead Endoscopy Technician. 

 

Work Schedule:

Endoscopy Technicians work 10-hour shifts with rotating start times of 6:30am, 7:00 am, and 7:30am. 

Technicians are also assigned rotating late-stay shifts to support end-of-day coverage and closing responsibilities. Weekend on‑call coverage is required and assigned on a rotating basis.

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
    • NA
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Good verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
    • Have human relations skills to work as part of a team by demonstrating, but not limited to:
      • The ability to maintain patience
      • Use of mature judgment
      • Sound reasoning skills
      • Courteous behavior

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
    • Previous healthcare experience with medical equipment is desirable.
  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
    • Certification as a Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA).
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • NA
