WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

Critical, high-visibility role in the Electrical Connections Segment Commercial Finance team, working side by side with general managers and finance leaders to support core financial processes (i.e., Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecasts, Monthly and Weekly Reporting & Analysis). The role is crucial in driving predictability, accountability and execution throughout the business.

  • Work closely with the business and finance team to drive sustainable, profitable growth. Gather and analyze data to provide recommendations to our leaders related to new product introductions, new sales channel initiatives, alternative manufacturing options and sourcing opportunities
  • Analyze orders, backlog, and industry trends to help understand business performance relative to competitive peer group
  • Assist the organization as we build the roadmap to achieve the financial targets of the business during the strategic plan, the operating plan, and the quarterly forecast process
  • Track and support the capital and expense investments that will fuel the growth engine of the business and steer it towards high growth markets and verticals
  • Support working capital improvement ideation, development, deployment to ensure targets are achieved

YOU HAVE:

  • Requires a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA/CMA is desirable
  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Planning, Operational Finance or Corporate Finance minimally required
  • Ability to communicate, establish strong relationships and deal effectively with personnel at all organizational levels
  • Ability to utilize Excel, Word, PowerPoint and OneStream XF or similar (HFM, Essbase, etc). Strong preference for AI capability
  • Driven desire to succeed and overcome challenges
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be flexible, organized and able to accurately work under time constraints and deadlines
  • Clearly expresses oneself orally and in writing
  • Fact-based problem solving

Pay Transparency
 
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
 
Compensation Range:

$76,000.00 - $141,100.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
