The Production Coordinator supports daily manufacturing operations by helping plan, organize, and track production activities to ensure schedules, quality standards, and operational goals are met. This role works closely with production, materials, quality, maintenance, and warehouse teams to coordinate workflow, resolve scheduling issues, and maintain accurate production records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to communicate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. ​

What you will do:
- Coordinate daily production schedules to support on-time completion of manufacturing goalsÂ
- Monitor workflow, production status, and material availability to minimize delaysÂ
- Communicate schedule changes, priorities, and production updates to supervisors and cross-functional teamsÂ
- Track production output, downtime, shortages, and other key operational metricsÂ
- Ensure work order closure. Identify roadblocks for work orders. Track individual serialized products as needed.Â
- Maintain accurate production documentation, reports, and system dataÂ
- Partner with inventory, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure materials are available when neededÂ
- Support resolution of production issues by escalating concerns and coordinating follow-up actionsÂ
- Assist with capacity planning and labor allocation based on production demandsÂ
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and operational proceduresÂ
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve workflowÂ
- Prepare reports and summaries for leadership on production performance and schedule adherenceÂ
- Support audits, recordkeeping, and general administrative coordination for the production departmentÂ
What you will bring:
- bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, or a related field preferredÂ
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, production coordination, scheduling, or operations support preferredÂ
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skillsÂ
- Excellent written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP or production planning systems preferredÂ
- Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and support problem-solving effortsÂ
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reportingÂ
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environmentÂ
Preferred SkillsÂ
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production flow, and inventory coordinationÂ
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principlesÂ
- Experience tracking KPIs such as output, downtime, scrap, and schedule attainmentÂ
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing production prioritiesÂ
