OVERVIEW

The University of St. Thomas is seeking qualified individuals to fill adjunct faculty teaching positions for fall semester 2026. The successful candidate(s) will teach EXSC 214 Human Physiology labs for undergraduate students. The course is planned to be delivered via an in-person, classroom-based teaching modality.

 

Anticipated Fall 2026 Schedule (9/9/2026 to 12/22/2026):

 

Lab Times

 

Wednesday: 7:40am—9:20am

Wednesday: 3:25pm – 5:25pm

 

Adjunct Faculty Teaching Responsibilities to Include:

  • Deliver instruction using student-engaged pedagogical approaches
  • Develop lab material that align with program’s defined objectives and learning outcomes using the program’s designated textbook
  • Provide timely feedback to students (e.g. grades and progress in course)
  • Be available to students for 1-2 hours office per week
  • Other duties as assigned

Salary Range:

$6,324 per course load for the 2026-2027 school year (per 4 credit undergraduate course).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum qualifications: A Master’s Degree in exercise science or related field. Prior teaching experience and/or professional experience in field.

 

Preferred qualifications: A terminal degree (Ph.D.) in exercise science or related health field and prior teaching experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Commitment to high quality instruction in a student-centered environment
  • Ability to cultivate an inclusive learning environment that support students with various learning styles and diverse backgrounds
  • Experience using the Canvas learning management system (preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, and instructional technology to teach traditional, hybrid or online courses
