Description

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Part-Time

Schedule: Part-time morning shift every Wednesday from 5:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., with the option to work every other weekend. Additional hours may also be available.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Medical Coordinator, the LPN provides high-quality healthcare services to 48 adults with developmental disabilities living in a residential setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and prescribed medical treatments.
  • Complete accurate medical documentation and reports.
  • Perform morning treatments and routine skin checks.
  • Identify and respond to participant medical concerns.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls related to medical needs.
  • Call providers to confirm medical appointments scheduled for the following day.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, families, healthcare providers, and members of the Parc team.
  • Follow all applicable nursing, safety, and documentation requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Current and unrestricted LPN license in the State of Florida. 
  • At least one year of recent nursing experience. 
  • Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. 
  • Ability to communicate professionally with individuals at all levels. 
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds. 
  • Ability to perform the physical responsibilities of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
