Sonic Summary

The Cardiology Technologist is responsible for performing various echocardiograms and cardiac stress tests, including transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms.
Candidates must have either completed an accredited echocardiography program or possess a minimum of 5 years of echocardiography experience in an acute care setting.
A Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification is required for this position.
The job includes a shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotation every 4th weekend.
Additional requirements include the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and preferred computer skills.

Description

The Registered Cardio Sonographer performs transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, transesophogeal echocardiograms, treadmills, cardiac stress test (including exercise, pharmacologic, and nuclear medicine), 12-lead electrocardiograms, peripheral arterial studies using segmental pressures, and Holtor Monitor (application and scanning). Has full access to patient health information.

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, rotating every 4th weekend

Requirements

Successful completion of an accredited echocardiography program or minimum 5 years echocardiography experience in an acute care setting.
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
Computer skills preferred.
Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
