Job DetailsJob Location: Stephenville Crisis Respite House - Stephenville, TX 76401Position Type: Part TimeEducation Level: High School / GEDSalary Range: $16.50 HourlyTravel Percentage: NegligibleJob Shift: Saturday & Sunday: 8PM-8AMJob Category: Health CareJOB DESCRIPTION:   Under the general supervision of Respite Program Manager, provides appropriate care and a safe environment to clients in the Respite facility.  Responsibilities include supervising clients’ residential environment and providing services as required in clients’ individual recovery plans, such as meal planning, skills training, recreational activities, transportation, and family contact.  Performs moderately complex rehabilitative client care work with individuals who have mental illness in a crisis respite environment.  Work involves ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.  Assisting residents as required.  It also includes cooking and cleaning of the facility, supervising medicine intake and other duties as assigned. Works under general supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Must be familiar with, and/or willing to be trained in, trauma-informed care.  This includes understanding, recognizing, and responding to the effects of all types of traumas, and an ability to work in a behavioral environment where staff convey dignity, respect, hopefulness, and the opportunity for choice and empowerment among consumers.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED is required. Previous experience in direct care of individuals with mental illness is preferred. Must possess or have ability to acquire through staff training a good working knowledge of procedures pertaining to: client rights; abuse and neglect; including individual program plans and individual recovery plans.  Must possess or be able to acquire competency in: first aid; CPR; food preparation and supervision of self-administration of medications. A valid Texas driver’s license, a good driving record and a valid auto insurance card is required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, lift 25 pounds, sit for an extended period, and reach overhead.
