The Quality team is currently seeking a solutions-oriented Quality Data Analyst to join the Quality team at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant. The Quality Data Analyst is responsible for supporting in the identification of warranty issues from the field and clearly defining the problem or issue. The Quality Analyst will research warranty data for issue identification, and document and communicate appropriate communications to the support teams responsible. They will work with Engineering and assembly plant personnel to track issue resolution and ensure effective containment and permanent corrective actions are established.Â

Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Â
- Analyze warranty claim dataÂ
- Perform analysis of warranty data to identify trends, emerging issues, and focus areasÂ
- Fast Track parts to appropriate locations to provide samples and/or examples of the condition under investigation in order to demonstrate the issueÂ
- Research issues using available toolsÂ
- Create appropriate documentation (Transmittals/GIMs) that very clearly describe the vehicle issue that the customer experiencesÂ
- Provide additional information to the individuals assigned to understand and resolve the issueÂ
- Maintain Transmittal updates based on input from the Engineers assigned to issue resolutionÂ
- Assure all criteria are met for Transmittal closureÂ
- Chart data as required to define an issue to demonstrate progress of the teamÂ
- Participate in processes consistent with issue resolution management and closureÂ
- Achieve KPI's establishedÂ
- Communicate with dealers to better understand vehicle issues and dealer repair actionsÂ
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environmentÂ
- Represent the "Voice of the Customer" to the platform teamsÂ
- Interface with other areas of Quality as well as Engineering through the performance of ad-hoc analysisÂ
Basic Qualifications: Â
Â
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related technical degree
- 1+ years' experience working as an analyst or other related fieldÂ
- Ability to work and interact with all levels of the organization Â
- Strong oral, written, presentation and organizational skills Â
- Ability to translate technical data and analysis into an executive summary format for presentation in easily understandable formats Â
- Ability to embrace cross-functional teams responsible for developing, specifying, building, and launching powertrain manufacturing processes Â
- Knowledge of advanced problem-solving skills and ability to manage data analysis to identify root causes and attack them to closure Â
- Knowledge of cost studies and strategic planning Â
- Microsoft Office intermediate or advance knowledge Â
- Willingness to work off shift hours and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications: Â
Â
- Master’s degree in Engineering or other similar technical equivalent  Â
- Preferred 5 + years' manufacturing experience, Powertrain Manufacturing experience a plus Â
- Preferred 5+ years’ experience in program management or multi-tasking environment
