Job Title: Bagged Birdseed Delivery Driver

Reports to: Feed Operations Manager

Location: Sterling, OH

Status:  Full-time, non-exempt

Position Objective: Individuals who take pride and ownership in their work and are conscientious, enjoy driving and physical work, driven to interact with others, respond positive to pressure and have an internal drive. Focused on customer service, with the underlying expectation being to meet the cooperative's mission and goals which will ultimately result in outstanding customer service.

Position Responsibilities

• Safety is the priority and driving in a safe manner
• Deliver bagged feed to customers
• Operate electric pallet jack and lift gate controls
• Documentation of maintenance of vehicle according to DOT Standards
• Assist with the performance of daily maintenance checks on all running equipment
• Fill birdseed orders on a daily basis, ensuring quality and satisfaction of customers
• Comply with company safety policy, housekeeping standards
• Maintain Class A CDL
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Perform duties as requested by management
• During peak business seasons or times of increased demand, this role may be assigned temporary duties in other departments.  Such cross-department support is essential to maintaining service levels and ensuring smooth company operations

Education: High school graduate

Skills: Excellent verbal and listening skills, problem solving skills, strong attention to detail skills, and strong ability to follow-up and complete customer orders.
