Post-Harvest & Packaging Technician
Rodeo Cannabis Co. · Sterling, CT
Schedule: Full-time/Part-time Monday – Friday

About Rodeo Cannabis Co.
Rodeo Cannabis Co. is a Connecticut-born, Social Equity-licensed cannabis company that handles every step from plant to shelf. We grow in Morris, manufacture in Sterling, and serve customers at our retail store in Rocky Hill. We started as a single-site startup and have grown into a vertically integrated operation with more than 60 team members. We're still building, and the people who join now help shape what we become.

The Role
Our Post-Harvest & Packaging Technicians are where great flower becomes a finished product. You'll take dried cannabis from harvest through trimming, sorting, packaging and pre-roll production, making sure every unit that leaves Sterling meets our quality standards and Connecticut's compliance requirements. You'll report to the Production Supervisor and work closely with our cultivation and compliance teams.

What You'll Do

  • Trim and destem dried flower by hand and by machine, following Rodeo SOPs and quality standards
  • Sort and grade flower by size, appearance and product type
  • Clean, maintain and troubleshoot trimming equipment so it runs at peak performance
  • Weigh, package and label flower products accurately and in line with state packaging and labeling rules
  • Operate our pre-roll equipment and produce pre-rolls to established specs
  • Keep accurate batch records and support seed-to-sale inventory tracking
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized and organized work area at all times
  • Support cultivation and harvest crews with drying, curing and facility cleaning when needed

Who You Are
You like hands-on work, you take pride in getting the details right, and you know that consistency is what separates a good product from a great one. You're comfortable following clear procedures, you take safety and compliance seriously, and you're the kind of teammate others can count on to show up and do the job well.

What You Bring

  • Cannabis trimming, post-harvest or packaging experience preferred
  • Familiarity with drying, curing and trimming techniques is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work at a steady, accurate pace
  • Comfort working independently and as part of a production team
  • Commitment to cleanliness, safety and following procedures

Requirements

  • Must be 21 or older
  • Must be able to obtain a Connecticut cannabis employee registration through DCP
  • Able to stand for long periods, perform repetitive hand tasks, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the role with or without reasonable accommodation

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly pay
  • [Paid time off / employee discount]
  • Paid training and room to grow with a company that's still expanding
  • A team that values hard work and promotes from within

Rodeo Cannabis Co. is an equal opportunity employer. As a Social Equity licensee, we strongly encourage applications from members of communities disproportionately impacted by cannabis prohibition.
