Student Success Center Assistant

 

Scope of Responsibility
The School of Health Sciences and Wellness (SHSW) Student Success Center is hiring new assistants who are responsible for a wide variety of administrative duties that directly support the operational management of 6 undergraduate programs and 6 graduate programs.

Specific Duties

  • Front desk reception in SHSW main office SCI, C 128.
  • Administrative tasks: filing, copying, scanning, shredding, delivering mail, data entry, and supply management.
  • Customer service.
  • Peer advising.
  • Maintain a UWSP staff email account.

Skills/Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook & Canvas).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Adaptability.
  • Critical thinking.
  • Confidentiality compliance (FERPA)
  • GA – level work only: completion of bachelor’s degree and enrolled in a SHSW graduate program.

Qualifications and Compensation
To qualify for this position, applicants must be in good academic standing with the University. The position requires the ability to work approximately 5-20 hours per week during the semester. Winterim hours may also be available but are not guaranteed. Majority of scheduled hours fall between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday) with occasional Saturday hours as needed. Hourly rate range: $12 – 16.95/hour.
