Class Start Date: On or around January 11, 2027

What You’ll Experience

You will complete a comprehensive 6 week training program that includes classroom instruction, hands on practice, and direct mentorship. Upon successful completion you will transition into full-time production work.

What You’ll Learn To Do As A Trainee

  • Install, modify, and maintain aircraft sheet metal and composite components
  • Fabricate, assemble, and rework structural parts
  • Use precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards
  • Perform inspections and maintain accurate documentation
  • Read and work from engineering drawings and production specifications

What You Need


Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of aviation sheet metal or structural mechanic experience
  • Must be able to demonstrate proven competency in structural repairs and sheet metal techniques
  • Pass skills assessments which may include hands on plate testing
  • Experience can include coursework and/or program completion from Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved and/or accredited aviation maintenance training programs
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Fluent in English — ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Able to work 1st and/or 2nd shift upon completion of training
  • Willing and able to work overtime as needed, including evenings and weekends

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to regularly lift/move up to 30 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work on concrete floors, uneven surfaces, and within confined spaces. Requires the ability to navigate open floor beams, climb stairs and scaffolding, kneel or crawl in work areas, and lift, carry, and move parts, materials, and tools as needed.
  • Position requires prolonged performance of drilling, bucking, and riveting activities throughout the entire shift, with additional overtime as required to meet production demands.
  • Requires frequent walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, and sitting during the course of daily work activities.
  • Requires repetitive use of the hands, wrists, and arms while performing job-related tasks.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time throughout the work shift.
  • Must possess the ability to communicate clearly and effectively and have sufficient hearing capability to understand instructions, safety alerts, and workplace communications.


Information related to the position:

  • The compensation for this position is $24.00 per hour.
    • The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Daher considers a number of factors when determining salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, skills, and current market conditions.
