Polisher

This position is responsible for the polish and deburring of all barrels. A polish machine operator will run polish machining equipment and is responsible for making sure the parts pass visual inspection. Polish Machine Operators must follow all operator instructions along with strict adherence to the Quality System.

• Adhere to all Safety Principles.
• Adhere to all Quality System Standards.
• Change belts and make adjustments to belts to ensure machines are functioning properly.
• Process components within established operator cycle times.
• Assist in on-the-job training of other employees.
• Participate in Safety, Quality, and Cost and Delivery improvements.
• Adhere to guidelines and procedures to ensure the safe handling, removal, and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials. 
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to read and understand Safety Rules, Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Ability to operate Polish and bench grinding equipment.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools.
• Adhere to guidelines and procedures to ensure the safe handling, removal, and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials. 
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.

Climate controlled environment.

• Ability to lift both hands extended out, rotate a 2lb. part push and polish.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds.
• Ability to bend, turn and stand for several hours at a time.
