Job DetailsJob Location: Las Vegas - Las Vegas, NV 89115Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $28.00 - $37.00 HourlyPosition: Field Service Technician Summary The Field Service Technician delivers exceptional customer service while performing expert mechanical repairs and routine servicing on customer-owned and internal fleet equipment. Operating primarily on-site at customer locations, this role serves as a vital brand ambassador, upholding the core values of Southwest ToyotaLift and ensuring all equipment is serviced to the highest operational standards. Key Responsibilities Note: The following responsibilities serve as a comprehensive guideline and are subject to change based on evolving business needs and management discretion. Customer Relations & Communication: Maintain professional, clear communication with both internal teams and external customers in the field, building lasting, trust-based relationships. Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Accurately diagnose complex mechanical issues, identify root causes, and write clear, detailed service recommendations and job descriptions. Parts Evaluation: Assess component wear and tear, utilizing deep technical knowledge to determine whether parts require professional repair or replacement. Equipment Repair & Maintenance: Service and repair gasoline, LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), electric, and diesel-powered forklifts. Perform comprehensive repairs including, but not limited to, replacing worn or damaged components, adjusting braking systems, tightening body hardware, and executing wheel alignments. Preventative Maintenance: Execute routine vehicle lubrication, preventative maintenance routines, and operational checks to optimize fleet performance and longevity. Physical Operations: Safely perform manual labor, including heavy lifting and the operation of specialized power equipment and tools. Administrative Diligence: Complete and submit all necessary paperwork, work orders, and service logs accurately and promptly to ensure seamless internal processing and accurate client billing. Fleet & Asset Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle, immediately reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to supervisory staff. Safety Adherence: Strictly practice and champion safe work habits, adhering to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices at all times. QualificationsQualifications & Physical Requirements Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Three to five years of hands-on experience as a forklift or material handling technician. Driving Record & License: Possess a clean driving record (verified by a current DMV report) and the ability to operate a company vehicle safely to travel to customer locations. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective customer and team interaction. Customer Service: A strong customer-first attitude and natural aptitude for client relations. Professional Development: Commitment to continuous learning, including attending technical training classes as offered by management. Professional Appearance: Maintain a neat, professional appearance at all times when representing the company. Physical Requirements Mobility: Physically able to repetitively stoop, bend, push, pull, squat, climb, and kneel on a regular, daily basis. Equipment & Tool Operation: Capable of operating power machinery, hand tools, air compressor tools, band saws, department grinders, steam cleaners, and parts washer machines. Lifting: Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds unaided. Vehicle Operation: Physically qualified to operate and drive a company service vehicle across various routes and job sites.
