Availability: Must be available to work nights and weekends during each theatre production. Some additional hours may be scheduled for rehearsals, shop work, and preparation outside of performance weeks.Â
Position Summary:Â
The Theatre Operations Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the University of WisconsinâSuperior Theatre Program. This position provides hands-on experience in front-of-house operations, marketing, and scenic and costume shop support while helping to create a welcoming and professional environment for audiences and artists. The assistant contributes directly to the success of productions and the growth of the program.Â
Duties include (but are not limited to):Â
- Balance cash register and credit card machine after each performanceÂ
- Take phone and walk-up reservations for productionsÂ
- Organize and prepare reservations for theatre productionsÂ
- Complete and distribute FOH performance reports Â
- Respond to phone messages in a timely mannerÂ
- Assist with social media and marketing for theatre productionsÂ
- Help prepare and distribute flyers, posters, and programs as neededÂ
- Distribute promotional materials on campus and in the Superior communityÂ
- Create and update theatre display cases for each productionÂ
- Update mailing listsÂ
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the box officeÂ
- Assist in the scenic shop and costume shop as assigned by supervisorsÂ
- Maintain a clean and organized green roomÂ
- Provide support for rehearsals and theatre operations as scheduled outside of performance datesÂ
- Perform other duties as assignedÂ
