Job DetailsJob Location: Suquamish, WA 98392Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayJob Category: Hospitality - Hotel PORT MADISON ENTERPRISES SUQUAMISH CLEARWATER CASINO RESORT Resort- Room Attendant Supervisor General Position Summary: Responsible for the effective supervision of the Room Attendants ensuring an exceptional standard of cleanliness is achieved and maintained in all guest rooms (during guests’ visits and in preparation of new guests’ arrival) and in the common areas. Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities: Approaches all guests interactions in a positive “Can Do” manner while maintain the highest level of professionalism and instills the same to all personnel Prepares Room Attendant’s daily assignments in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper by monitoring the computer system to track vacancies for inclusion in the cleaning schedule Inspects all rooms assigned too attendants on a daily basis and maintains accurate audit records Notifies attendants of all deficiencies found in the room(s) and ensure timely correction Performs re-inspections Submits maintenance request to the Engineering Department Confers with the Front Desk on room discrepancies as reported by guests Inspects Room Attendant’s carts/signs at the end of each shift Ensures proper security measures are taken with the “Pass Key” entrusted to each Room Attendant during shift Maintains an adequate supply of linens, cleaning chemicals and amenity inventories by consistently completing sign out sheets for all products Secondary Functions: Performs all Room Attendant duties as needed depending on staffing and occupancy levels and consistent with the positions job description Assists the Executive Housekeeper in assigning duties Respects all guests’ confidentiality and performs duties in a highly professional manner Assists with all aspects of a training program for all housekeeping personnel Performs all duties in a safe manner Other duties as assigned Specific Job Skills: Ability to read, write and comprehend instruction and correspondence Ability to effectively convey information one-on-one or in a group setting (meetings) Actively practices positive and effective communication and possess strong organizational skills Demonstrates strong mathematical skills Ability to problem-solve, handle stressful situations and make good decisions Ability to function in a team-orientated environment and work independently QualificationsEducation and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED desired. Job Conditions: Working conditions include working in the hotel and spa with equipment necessary to provide services as outlined in this job description. Working in a smoke-filled environment may be necessary and in the presence of cleaning chemicals. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 75 lbs. while standing, twisting, or bending. Manual and finger dexterity is required to perform duties and may involve standing, sitting, bending, kneeling for extended periods of time and will include reaching with arms and hands. Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to focus.
