JOB DESCRIPTIONÂ
This entry-level position introduces you to the fundamentals of servicing and maintaining Overhead Doors and Loading Dock equipment. As you gain experience and demonstrate initiative, you will progress toward becoming a Full-Service Field Technician. Requirements
SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
- Learn and perform basic Preventative Maintenance on doors and dock equipmentÂ
- Assist with service, repair, and installation of Overhead Doors and Loading DocksÂ
- Learn to weld, troubleshoot electrical panels, and complete mechanical repairsÂ
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environmentÂ
- Provide excellent communication and customer service while on job sitesÂ
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSÂ
- Strong mechanical aptitudeÂ
- Experience using hand and power tools (“turning wrenches”)Â
- Great attitude and willingness to learnÂ
- Good communication skillsÂ
- Self-motivated and comfortable working with your handsÂ
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical, hands-on environmentÂ
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTSÂ
High School Diploma/GEDÂ
Please note: Technicians are required to supply their own basic hand tools (wrenches, socket sets, hammers, measuring tapes, etc)Â
Must have (and maintain) a current unrestricted driver’s license in good standing
WORK CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDSÂ
Must have the physical stamina to perform continuously will full body motion for climbing, reaching, pushing, lifting andÂ
reaching, etc. Work is performed in a maintenance environment with potential exposure to moving mechanical parts,Â
dust, fumes, chemicals, or solvents which require knowledge of proper safety procedures. Must be able to favorably passÂ
a Drug Screen, Background Check, DOT physical and lift at least 50 pounds.Â
