Individual is very quiet, shy, and struggles to express her needs and wants. She enjoys going to local parks, the mall and movies. The ideal candidate is creative and engaging, patient and a good communicator. Additionally, being able to build a trusting and positive relationship with the individual and her mother. This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services. at the agency. Hours and days of work: 5 hours with possible hours being Tuesday or Friday from 2:30p-5pm or Saturday from 11a-4pm Starting pay: Starting pay for Agency Supported Community Habiliation is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience. Location: Syracuse, NY Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community. Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred. New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community. Qualifications Must have a valid drivers license Effective communication and organizational skills required. Flexibility with assignments and schedule required. Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time. Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
