Job DetailsJob Location: Tacoma, WA 98409Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $22.50 - $25.75 HourlyJob Shift: GraveyardJob Category: ManufacturingPOSITION SUMMARY Manufacture high-quality plastic molded products within the quoted cycle time, while still maintaining a high level of quality, accuracy, and safe working methods. ELEMENTS RELATED TO THE FUNCTION •   Position Type: Non-Exempt •   Location: DEMGY Pacific, LLC, Tacoma WA •   Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS •   Stamina to work all assigned hours •   Ability to work in a shop environment – frequent exposure to loud noises, dust, solvents, and oils •   Frequent standing and walking.  Limited reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching •   Ability to stand or walk 100% of the workday •   Hearing and speaking required 100% of the workday •   Use of hands 100% of the workday - use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls •   20/20 vision required with or without correction - to assess cosmetic requirements, close vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus. •   Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds APPLICABLE METRICS •   Labor reporting percentage (daily avg) •   Labor reported within cycle time vs outside cycle time (should be a ratio) •   Rejections (internal customers/external customers) •   Count errors •   Quality of Outputs •   On-time Delivery of Outputs •   Autonomy and need for Supervision •   Initiative and Productivity •   Role-Specific Knowledge and Expertise •   Understanding and Application of Processes and Procedures •   Adhere to the Demgy Pacific attendance point system •   Adhere to the Demgy Pacific job variance to standard metric •   Adhere to the Demgy Pacific Safety protocols JOB RESPONSIBILITIES OPERATOR 1 •   Operate an injection molding machine in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner. •   Produce product based on operator work instructions and quality requirements. •   Keep individual work cells clean and organized. •   Inspect produced parts for defects such as cracks, bubbles, or color inconsistencies, ensuring they meet quality standards. •   Read, understand, and follow written Work Instructions for each individual part. •   Record production data, including volume produced, downtime, scrap, reject rates, and machine efficiency. •   Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). OPERATOR 2 •   Fulfill the Essential Functions of an Operator 1. •   Train/mentor Operator 1 team members to ensure they safely develop practices that optimize workflow and create the best consistent quality of finished goods. •   Safely be able to operate an Injection Molding Machine using a bandsaw, table router, or ultra sonic welder. •   Ensure work cells are set up with required safety equipment, tools for operation, packaging supplies, and documentation needed to facilitate production. •   Keep work areas clean and organized. •   Be able to fill in for a Floor Lead, in the event a Floor Lead is absent. •   Ensure operators are reading, acknowledging (signing), and performing their job per the work instructions. •   Work with team members and supervisors to improve production processes and product quality •   Fluency in Demgy Pacific’s ERP system. •   Stage parts with paperwork after every job is completed. EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES  •   Uphold and comply with Demgy’s Code of Ethics and Conduct     •   Follow safety policies •   Contribute to the success of the company’s environmental, health & safety program •   Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers in all departments •   Maintain accurate documentation as required, following Demgy Pacific’s document and record control procedures as applicable to the position •   Ensure that housekeeping within the department is properly maintained.  •   Follow Demgy 5S program (workstation organization/locations maintained)  •   Follow policies outlined in the Employee Handbook •   Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor  QualificationsJOB SKILL REQUIREMENTS •   Effective communication:   o   Able to read and write English.   o   Able to keep accurate quality records.   o   Able to basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) •   Mechanical skills. •   Basic computer skills. •   Team oriented. •   Efficient and action driven. •   Motivated self-starter. •   Dependable: Reliable attendance and punctuality. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS •   Successful completion or proven prior experience required as an Operator in Injection Molding to qualify to move from Operator 1 to Operator 2. •   Experience in manufacturing preferred. •   Experience in Aerospace preferred. •   High School diploma or equivalent. Â
