At United Vein & Vascular Centers (UVVC), every patient journey starts with a conversation. We’re looking for a Clinical Intake Representative I to help prospective patients navigate the referral process, understand their next steps, and get connected with the care they need. 

In this role, you’ll review incoming physician referrals, communicate with patients and referring providers, and help ensure each referral is handled promptly and appropriately based on established clinical protocols. It’s an opportunity to combine your healthcare knowledge, communication skills, and passion for helping people in a role that directly supports the patient experience. 

Who You Are 

As a Clinical Intake Representative I, you’ll help guide prospective patients through the beginning of their UVVC journey while supporting timely, accurate communication between patients, referring providers, and internal teams. 

You’re a healthcare professional who is comfortable speaking with patients, understanding clinical information, and managing multiple priorities at once. 

You communicate clearly and compassionately, know how to make patients feel supported, and can confidently navigate conversations with both patients and referring providers. You’re detail-oriented, dependable, and motivated by helping patients move from referral to care as smoothly as possible. 

What You Bring 

  • Healthcare or medical experience required LPN or Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Call center and/or customer service experience required Advanced knowledge of medical terminology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills / Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-focused approach
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and other computer platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple conversations, referrals, and priorities in a fast-paced environment Dependability and the ability to meet reliable attendance and punctuality standards

In This Role, You Will: 

  • Review incoming physician referrals and determine appropriate next steps based on established clinical protocols 
  • Contact prospective patients to schedule an initial visit at a UVVC clinic 
  • Receive inbound calls from prospective patients and assist with scheduling their first appointment 
  • Develop strong working relationships with physician liaisons to help ensure referrals are processed promptly and appropriately 
  • Communicate with referring providers to address questions or concerns related to referrals 
  • Support overflow inbound calls from existing patients and assist with patient requests 
  • Re-engage prospective patients who previously contacted UVVC but have not yet scheduled an initial visit 
  • Help create a positive, supportive experience for patients from their very first interaction with UVVC 
  • Protect patient information and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, UVVC policies, and applicable regulations 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
