The position involves assisting with procedures using Lifeport Kidney Pump, OrganOx Liver perfusion device, and other surgical procedures under the supervision of the Organ Perfusion Manager.
Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining perfusion supplies and equipment, as well as assisting the perfusion team leader with inventory management.
The role also entails administering medication under physician guidance and performing duties in alignment with Tampa General Hospital's mission and values.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Surgical Technology or Surgical Assistant program and hold current CST or Surgical Assistant certification, along with CTP certification from the ABTC.
The preferred experience for this role is 2-3 years in surgical assistance or surgical technology, with a competitive salary offered.

Under general supervision of the Organ Perfusion Manager, following policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, assists with all procedures requiring the use of Lifeport Kidney Pump, OrganOx Liver perfusion device, and other related surgical procedures. Provides, assembles, and cares for all perfusion supplies, instruments, and equipment before, during and after procedures, cleans and maintains all perfusion equipment, and assists perfusion team leader with ordering and stocking all perfusion supplies and equipment in the surgical suites. Administers medication under the direction of the physician. Responsible for performing Job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Required:

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology or Surgical Assistant program.
Current CST or Surgical Assistant certification required.
CTP certification from the ABTC Required .
2-3 years of surgical assistant or surgical tech experience preferred.
