Pool Rehab Services Therapy Tech - Outpatient, Westshore

Tampa General Hospital is a private not-for-profit hospital and one of the most comprehensive medical facilities in West Central Florida. Outpatient Rehabilitation Services are provided at multiple off campus locations and include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology services for patients across the life span (Pediatric and Adult). Patients may have a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to, stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic injuries, trauma, burns, chronic pain, birth injuries and other cardiac and neurology-related conditions. The goal of rehabilitation services is to increase the functional independence of our patients and improve their quality of life through state of the art, evidence-based practices.

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Rehab therapy Tech is responsible for the below tasks :

• Infection prevention tasks :

• Cleaning all the toys used by each patient during therapy

• Cleaning the therapy gym equipment after patient care

• Maintenance of all equipment per JC standards

• Direct patient care:

• Hands on care -to assist therapists with patient care (Adults and Pediatric) for Safety

• Efficiency of care:

• Maintaining inventory of all equipment and required supplies for patient care

• Ordering supplies as needed

• Organization of gym space and toys to ensure all items are in place for efficiency

   

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. 

• Must be CPR certified or acquire the same within 3 months of hire

• Health Care related experience preferred.
