Summary/objective:
The Projects Installer will join the Guardian team in an apprentice-style capacity in order to learn the business. This position offers on-the-job training for those that have the drive to start a long-term career with Guardian. Projects Installers will find that there is something new to be learned every day. Opportunities may involve installing new dispensers, installing new pipes and fixing leaking pipes, cutting thread-bare pipes, installing new spill buckets, replacing dispensers and sump boots, and working with concrete.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
路 A minimum of a high school diploma/GED required
路 Very basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment will be helpful.
路 Skilled in providing excellent customer relations by exchanging information with courtesy and consideration.
路 Ability to exhibit a professional demeanor and develop customer relationships through superior service.
路 Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) with all levels of an organization internally and externally.
路 Ability to be trained to read and interpret schematics and understand necessary service and training manuals.
路 Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
路 Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or demonstrated instructions.
路 Ability to maintain a good understanding of industry innovations and product availability in order to make recommendations based on customer needs.
路 Ability to safely operate personal hand tools.
路 Ability to draw upon available support resources from within the company and recognize when it is appropriate to do such.
路 Such other knowledge, skills, and abilities as are necessary in connection with additionally assigned duties.
路 Must obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
