On behalf ofour client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experiencedArchitectural Engineer / Structural Engineer to work in Kenya.
Job Purpose
To support theplanning, design, execution, and supervision of building projects under theguidance of senior engineers. The role involves assisting with engineeringdrawings, site inspections, and compliance checks, ensuring adherence to Kenyanbuilding codes and EBK standards while contributing to the timely and qualitydelivery of government/public-sector construction projects.
KeyResponsibilities
1.聽聽聽聽 Project Planning & DesignSupport
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist in the planning, design, and supervision of buildingprojects.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, andtechnical reports under supervision.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support the promotion of sustainable and energy-efficientbuilding solutions.
2.聽聽聽聽 Team Coordination
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including architects,structural, MEP engineers, and contractors.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Participate in continuous improvement and knowledge development.
3.聽聽聽聽 Compliance & QualityAssurance
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ensure compliance with Kenyan building codes, EBK standards,safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Conduct site inspections, monitor progress, and report technicalissues to senior engineers.
4.聽聽聽聽 Project Management Support
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, risks, andresources.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support procurement, contractor evaluation, and contract administration.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Prepare project reports and communicate with clients andstakeholders as directed.
Requirements
Education
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural, Building,or Construction Engineering.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Registered or progressing towards registration with theEngineers Board of Kenya (EBK) or Board of Registration of Architects andQuantity Surveyors (BORAQS).
Experience
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Less than 5 years' relevant experience in building engineering.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience working on government/public-sector constructionprojects is essential.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Exposure to residential, commercial, institutional, or publicinfrastructure projects.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Basic knowledge of Kenyan building regulations, contractadministration, and HSE requirements.
TechnicalSkills
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
