BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring for a Medical Affairs Coordinator! The Medical Affairs Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of various activities that support medical excellence, the experience of our Associates and future talent pipeline.

This is a hybrid position with 2 days on-site at any of four Support locations:

  • Tampa, Florida

  • New York, New York

  • Vancouver, Washington

  • Los Angeles, California

Job Responsibilities 

  • Support academic partnerships for clinician and technician candidates including coordination of externships and campus event activities  

  • Coordinate various medical operations projects and initiatives including team efficiency, workforce optimization, clinician productivity, etc.  

  • Support collection of medical governance key performance indicators to be reviewed by Medical function on a regular basis 

  • Build PowerPoint decks as necessary for the Medical Leadership team  

  • Coordinate and administer clinician stipend policy 

  • Coordinate and administer AVMA and VIN memberships including adding and removing clinicians.  

  • Audit technician License as current with appropriate follow up for renewal prior to expiration date 

  • Coordinate and administer Trupanion policy and renewal process including supporting Associate inquiries and hospital visibility  

  • Own Pet Discount policy and inquiries supporting field teams and registering Support Associates 

  • Support other Pet Benefits including VetSource administration  

  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Education and Experience 

  • High School Diploma or GED required  

  • 1–3 years of coordination or related experience required 

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards 

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems 
     

Qualifications

  • Veterinary Medicine Industry Experience

  • Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. 

  • Works under minimal supervision. 

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. 

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, prioritization of work, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Requires in-depth skills and knowledge of the specialized concepts, practices, and procedures in the area of specialization. 

  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of the specialization as well as business needs to recommend appropriate action. 

 

Working Conditions 

  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer station for long periods of time. 

  • The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate. 

  • Environment where pets are present.
