BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring for a Medical Affairs Coordinator! The Medical Affairs Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of various activities that support medical excellence, the experience of our Associates and future talent pipeline.
This is a hybrid position with 2 days on-site at any of four Support locations:
Tampa, Florida
New York, New York
Vancouver, Washington
Los Angeles, California
Job ResponsibilitiesÂ
Support academic partnerships for clinician and technician candidates including coordination of externships and campus event activities Â
Coordinate various medical operations projects and initiatives including team efficiency, workforce optimization, clinician productivity, etc. Â
Support collection of medical governance key performance indicators to be reviewed by Medical function on a regular basisÂ
Build PowerPoint decks as necessary for the Medical Leadership team Â
Coordinate and administer clinician stipend policyÂ
Coordinate and administer AVMA and VIN memberships including adding and removing clinicians. Â
Audit technician License as current with appropriate follow up for renewal prior to expiration dateÂ
Coordinate and administer Trupanion policy and renewal process including supporting Associate inquiries and hospital visibility Â
Own Pet Discount policy and inquiries supporting field teams and registering Support AssociatesÂ
Support other Pet Benefits including VetSource administration Â
Other duties as assignedÂ
Â
Education and ExperienceÂ
High School Diploma or GED required Â
1–3 years of coordination or related experience requiredÂ
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standardsÂ
Excellent organizational and leadership skillsÂ
Strong written and verbal communication skillsÂ
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systemsÂ

Qualifications
Veterinary Medicine Industry Experience
Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.Â
Works under minimal supervision.Â
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Â
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, prioritization of work, and problem-solving skills.Â
Requires in-depth skills and knowledge of the specialized concepts, practices, and procedures in the area of specialization.Â
Utilizes in-depth knowledge of the specialization as well as business needs to recommend appropriate action.Â
