About the Role

The Student Experience Manager is at the heart of campus life. This is a role for someone who genuinely loves working with people someone warm, energetic, and passionate about making a real difference in students' lives. You'll be the go-to person for our Academic Year students, supporting their wellbeing, resolving challenges, and ensuring their time with us is everything they hoped it would be and more.

This is not a desk job. You'll be out on campus, connecting with students one-on-one, building trusted relationships, and making sure no student feels lost or unsupported.

Key Responsibilities

Student Welfare and Cases

  • Act as the primary point of contact for student welfare concerns, managing individual cases with care, confidentiality, and a solutions-focused mindset.

  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with Academic Year students to proactively identify and address personal, academic, or social challenges.

  • Monitor student wellbeing and escalate cases appropriately when additional support is needed.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with school policies and data protection guidelines.

 

Student Experience

  • Champion the student experience across all touchpoints of campus life — from arrival to departure.

  • Gather and act on student feedback to continuously improve programs, services, and support structures.

  • Design and implement initiatives that enhance student satisfaction, inclusion, and a sense of belonging on campus.

  • Set clear, measurable goals for the Student Services department and track progress regularly.

Academic Year Student Support

  • Build strong, ongoing relationships with Academic Year students, serving as their trusted advisor and advocate throughout their time on campus.

  • Support students in navigating campus life, social integration, and any cultural or personal transitions they may face.

  • Organize and participate in student-facing events and activities that foster community and connection.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Work closely with Academic, Residential and Activities teams to ensure a joined-up approach to student support.

  • Act as the student voice in internal meetings, bringing insights and feedback to cross-functional discussions.

  • Partner with other departments to co-create solutions that improve the overall student journey.

  • Contribute to campus-wide initiatives with student satisfaction always at the forefront.

What We're Looking For

Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience in student services, welfare, youth work, education, or a related field.

  • Proven ability to manage casework sensitively and effectively.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to connect with diverse groups of young people.

  • Experience setting and tracking departmental goals or improvement plans.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in keeping clear, accurate records and reports.
