Substitute Teacher Assistant

Triumph supports the education, well-being and self-sufficiency of young children and their families through high quality early childhood programs and community engagement.

As a Substitute Teacher Assistant, you will work on an as needed basis assisting classroom staff in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for infants, toddlers, and/or preschoolers in child care.   Assist classroom staff with daily care and with carrying out curriculum and classroom goals.

Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom team in maintaining a safe, clean and healthy environment.
• Assist classroom staff with the daily care of children.
• Assist teachers in carrying out curriculum and goals of classroom (indoors and out).

Requirements:

• Ability to understand and respond appropriately to the needs of young children.
• Must possess the attributes of warmth and acceptance of children and their families.
• Must maintain confidentiality about information known about children and families.
• Must maintain good attendance and punctuality.
• Be able to work a flexible work schedule.

Compensation

$17.36/hr High School Diploma or equivalent

$18.44/hr EEC Teacher Certificate or higher

Must be available to work between the hours below:

7:30 am to 5:30 pm

English speaking with Spanish, Portuguese or Haitian-Creole bilingual applicants encouraged to apply
