Together we live out our purpose: Furnishing Life’s Best Memories. Our team is guided by five core values: integrity, personal excellence, customer satisfaction, collaboration, and innovation. These values shape how we work, how we lead, and how we serve our Guests every day. Our vision is to be the premier Ashley Store operator, and our mission is to be an excellent home furnishings retailer. Because of the dedication of our Memory Makers, Broad River Retail has grown to become the largest and fastest growing Ashley licensee in the U.S., was named National Home Furnishings Retailers of the Year in 2024, and has earned a place on our industry’s Best Places to Work list three years in a row. AT A GLANCE: The Senior Manager of Business Intelligence leads the BI function's day-to-day operations, translating sales, inventory, customer, and delivery/logistics data into actionable insights that drive business performance across Broad River Retail. This role bridges the gap between BI strategy set by senior leadership and hands-on execution by the analytics team — managing a team of analysts, owning key reporting and dashboarding infrastructure, and partnering closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Store Operations, Distribution/Logistics, and Finance to ensure decisions are grounded in reliable, timely data.  DAY IN THE LIFE AS A MEMORY MAKER: Team Leadership & Management  Manage, mentor, and develop a team of BI analysts, developers, and data engineers.  Set team priorities, allocate resources across competing business requests, and manage project timelines.  Establish performance goals and conduct regular reviews for direct reports.  Recruit and onboard new BI talent as the team scales.  Reporting & Dashboard Strategy  Own the roadmap for enterprise dashboards and self-service reporting tools including advancements with artificial intelligence. (e.g., store sales performance, inventory turn, delivery performance, customer lifetime value, showroom-to-showroom comparisons).  Ensure that dashboards and KPIs are accurate, consistent, and aligned to how the business operates.  Standardize metric definitions across departments to eliminate "multiple versions of the truth".  Oversee BI tool administration (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Jira) including governance, licensing, and access management.  Cross-Functional Partnership  Serve as the primary BI liaison to Merchandising, Marketing, Store Operations, Distribution/Logistics, and Finance leadership.  Translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical projects and deliverables.  Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders and executive leadership.  Support seasonal planning cycles (e.g., promotional calendars, floor-set/assortment planning, inventory forecasting) with timely data support.  Data Strategy & Infrastructure  Partner with other leaders to ensure the data warehouse and pipelines support retail-specific reporting needs (POS, e-commerce, inventory/ERP, delivery scheduling, CRM/loyalty).  Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reduce reporting latency, and automate manual processes.  Evaluate and recommend new BI tools, and AI tools, along with other technologies, or vendors as needed.  Analytics & Insight Generation  Lead deep-dive analyses on topics such as customer segmentation, product/category performance, price and promotion effectiveness, showroom performance benchmarking, and delivery/logistics efficiency.  Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in retail sales performance and proactively surface them to leadership.  Support measurement frameworks for marketing campaigns and merchandising initiatives.  MEMORY MAKER PERKS & BENEFITS: Salary Range Based on numerous factors including experience, knowledge, and skill Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options available the first of the month following 60 days of employment Paid time off and holiday benefits 401(k) or retirement savings plan with company match Employee discounts at Broad River Retail locations Opportunities for career growth and internal advancement Benefit offerings and eligibility may vary based on employment status and location. Regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or if you’re parenting the next generation of Memory Makers, we firmly believe our work is at its best when everyone feels free to be their most authentic self.QualificationsWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Required  Bachelor's degree in business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.  7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related roles, with at least 2–3 years in a people-management or team-lead capacity.  Retail industry experience, with strong understanding of retail KPIs (sales per square foot, sell-through, GMROI, comp sales, inventory turns, etc.); furniture/big-ticket or specialty retail experience is a plus.  Proficiency with BI/visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or MS Fabric).  Strong SQL skills; experience working with large relational databases and/or cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).  Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.  Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.  Preferred  Master's degree preferred but not required.  Experience with retail-specific systems (POS, e-commerce platforms, inventory/ERP such as STORIS, delivery/logistics scheduling systems, loyalty/CRM programs).  Familiarity with statistical analysis or predictive modeling (Python).  Experience supporting omnichannel retail (showroom + e-commerce) or delivery-based retail models.  Change management experience, particularly around driving BI/data adoption across an organization.  WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job the employee is: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
