Summary:

The Inventory Clerk assists the inventory department and maintenance by tracking, managing and maintaining inventory, parts or products housed in the warehouse.

 

Job Description:

  • Highly organized with the ability to ensure that spare parts are at correct inventory levels and stock room organization.
  • Prints inventory tags for current inventory.
  • Transitions plant to Microsoft AX Materials Management.
  • Sets i[ inventory location in AX on the plant floor.
  • Tasks includes communicating discrepancies between receiving and the local buyer for final resolution.  Reconciling the receiving log versus posted receipts daily to insure timely posting and perpetual inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain backup files related to all receipts.
  • Post manufacturing tickets scanned daily.  Tasks to include daily review of WIP reports prior to posting to help ensure perpetual inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain backup files related to production posting.
  • Daily review of Outstanding Production Tickets Reports to help ensure perpetual inventory accuracy and capacity demands.
  • Point person for personnel to go to when they cannot find product to complete orders.
  • Aid Inventory Control with cycle counts and bin maintenance as needed.
  • Aid / backup Inventory Control as needed.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to include vacation coverage.
  • Aid in training new employees on where material is stored.
  • Maintaining and updating records.
  • Counting materials, equipment, merchandise or supplies in stock.
  • Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
  • Distributing or stocking merchandise.
  • Receive and inventory stock.
  • Other duties as assigned and needed.

 

Knowledge:

  • Position requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in cycle counting, inventory control, and computerized ERP and MRP system.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision and to be self-motivated.
  • Attention to details.
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Possess the ability to create solutions.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Works with integrity and respect displaying a high degree of tact and diplomacy.

 

Skills:

High level of dexterity and skill to assemble doors, perform visual quality checks, and comprehend build construction specs, must work well as a team with Front Man.

 

Responsibility:

Little to no supervision, proper placement of components to match build construction, run from tickets, verify quality/quantity, ensure the backboard is in place prior to assembly of next stack.

 

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, stooping, and standing throughout your shift. Must work at a fast pace and handle multiple parts that have glue on them. Strong eye/hand coordination. Standing for long continuous hours.

 

Mental Demands:

Attention to detail of build construction and accuracy of material placement. Focus on glue level on materials and hand placements.

 

Social:

Must work closely with another operator, skin flipper, and pressman as a team

 

Working Environment:

Mildly controlled environment - can expect some cold and heat during extreme weather conditions. Mild dust environment
