This role involves fostering a love for music, teaching fundamental band instruments, and preparing students for performances, ensuring a positive and enriching musical experience. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, develop, and implement a curriculum that meets the educational needs of elementary students in a concert band setting. - Instruct students in playing various band instruments, including brass, woodwind, and percussion, with a focus on skill development and musicality. - Organize and conduct regular rehearsals, ensuring students are well-prepared for concerts and performances. - Collaborate with other music educators and church staff to coordinate concert events and community performances. - Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their musical abilities. - Foster an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages student participation and growth in music. - Maintain and manage band instruments, ensuring they are in good working condition for student use. - Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, upcoming events, and program goals. - Stay updated with current music education trends and incorporate innovative teaching methods into the program. QualificationsRequired Education: - Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field.
