POSITION SUMMARY 


The Event Server is a multi-faceted position. The main responsibility is to perform food and drink serving duties at various types of events while interacting with guests in a friendly and positive manner.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Two or more years in the hospitality field, banquet and restaurant service preferred.
  2. Must be 21 years of age or older.
  3. Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to resolve guest complaints.
  4. Strong verbal communication skills 
  5. Professional in appearance and demeanor 
  6. Willingness to work a flexible schedule and be dependable.
  7. Ability to communicate and understand the English language. 
  8. Must have a valid Riverside County Food Handlers (RFH) Card upon hire.
  9. Must obtain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification upon hire.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs. 
  • Responsible to verify all guests who are ordering alcoholic beverages are at least 21 years of age through requesting valid identification. 
  • Responsible to make independent judgment when to notify on duty manager if a guest is intoxicated and should no longer be served alcohol. 
  • Providing a five-star hospitality experience to WCW guests who attend events, weddings, concerts, corporate functions, community functions, inter-winery, etc.
  • Event/wedding implementation from room set-up, serving, room breakdown, and clean up.
  • Must use WCW Standards of Service as it relates to proper techniques especially while serving and clearing.
  • Off-Site events for Distribution and Marketing/Promotional events.
  • Perform necessary duties to help maintain event equipment, supplies, decorations, etc. by washing, fixing, storing properly.
  • When directed by supervisor; perform other functions necessary to the winery such as but not limited to seasonal decorating and assisting other departments.
  • Any other duty as assigned by direct or indirect supervisor.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for the entire shift; bending, turning, reaching etc. with constant use of hands, fingers, wrists, arms, and must be able to feel, talk and hear. The employee is most often required to stand and walk on stairs, concrete, grass and in the kitchen where floors may be slippery, with hot ovens and surfaces, etc. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position involves work in both indoor and outdoor environments where temperatures may fluctuate.
