Description

With little supervision, perform hand finishing, deburring and inspection, using appropriate tooling as required.

This position requires a positive attitude. Cross training is mandatory in various disciplines within the hand finish area.

Requirements

• Be familiar with all tools required for hand finish.

• Hand grinding various airfoil shapes to their finish contour and dimension

• Chamfer, radius and grind parts to blueprints and work instructions.

• Read and understand basic diagrams and mechanical drawings.

• Clean and grit blast

• Read, interpret and execute work instructions.

• Follow all company policies including safety instructions.

• Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices.


• High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent experience.

• 2 years’ experience in component repair

• 2 years’ experience with inspection tooling and processes

• Familiar with FAA part 145 Repair Stations, understands and can apply regulatory requirements (preferred)

• Demonstrated experience with Lean and 5S principles (preferred)
