This position will be eitherĀ a levelĀ 1, 2 or Sr based on relevant candidate experience.Ā

Responsibilities

Ā What doesĀ theĀ CTĀ MRIĀ TechĀ do?Ā 

Under general supervision,Ā is responsible forĀ the coordination and administration of all CT/MRI radiologic exams; ensures technical quality andĀ timelyĀ reporting of results. Assures compliance withĀ appropriate regulatoryĀ agencies related to patient and employee safety. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program,Ā to includeĀ the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.Ā

The essential duties and responsibilities:Ā 

  • Performs CT and MRI procedures as orderedĀ achievingĀ a high levelĀ of quality.Ā Ā 
  • OffersĀ expertiseĀ to physiciansĀ regardingĀ appropriateness of additional/modified studies, etc.Ā 
  • Escorts patients toĀ treatmentĀ room.Ā AssistsĀ withĀ dressingsĀ as necessary. Completes all paperwork necessary to ensureĀ timelyĀ delivery of CT/MRI services.Ā 
  • Develops andĀ processesĀ radiologic films.Ā LogsĀ radiologic procedures completed. Processes routine paperwork.Ā 
  • Provides protection forĀ patientĀ and selfĀ in accordance withĀ prescribed safety standards.Ā 
  • Ensures the safety and physical comfort of the patient while inĀ technologistsĀ care.Ā 
  • Conducts daily quality control measures toĀ monitorĀ machine performance. Reports all malfunctions and/orĀ need forĀ adjustments to the proper company or facility.Ā Ā 
  • ArrangesĀ preventive maintenance as recommended by vendor. Follows prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.Ā 
  • Orders, logs, and returns outside films requestedĀ fromĀ other agencies; completesĀ appropriate documentation.Ā 
  • Arranges for the release of films to patients and outside agencies.Ā Ā 
  • Maintains paperwork for tracking loaned films. MaintainsĀ confidentiallyĀ of allĀ information related to patients and medical staff.Ā 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the CTĀ MRIĀ Tech position will have the following background and experience:Ā Ā Ā 

Ā 

Level 1Ā 

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic TechnologyĀ from an accredited school.Ā 
  • Minimum threeĀ yearsĀ experienceĀ as a CT/MRI Technologist.Ā Ā Ā 
  • Certification as a registered radiologic technologist (ARRT)Ā required.Ā Ā 
  • Current IV and CPR certificationsĀ required.Ā Ā Ā 
  • Certification in CT and MRI preferred.Ā 

Level 2 (in addition to level 1 requirements)Ā 

  • Minimum fiveĀ years experienceĀ as a CT/MRI Technologist.Ā 

Level Sr (in addition to level 1 and 2 requirements)Ā 

  • Minimum sevenĀ yearsĀ experienceĀ as a CT/MRI Technologist.Ā
