St. Thomas Retirement Residence, Â Part Time 28 Hours bi-weekly. Week 1- Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday. Week 2- Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (4 to 8pm)

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Cook's Helper. This role is responsible for ensuring the exceptional preparation and delivery of the resident and guest dining experience using production checks and standardized recipes.Â

What You’ll Do
Â
- Preparing meals for residents and guests ensuring dietary needs are metÂ
- Operating and cleaning food production equipment and food preparation areasÂ
- Complying with all food preparation standards and health and safety requirements in a clean, safe and sanitary mannerÂ
- Washes, cleans and stores dishes, cutlery, fixtures and equipment used for food preparation and serviceÂ
- All other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
- Experience working in a kitchen is considered an assetÂ
- Must be able to operate related equipmentÂ
- Ability to lift up to and including 50 pounds is considered an assetÂ
- Must be able to read and communicate effectively, and follow written/verbal instructionsÂ
- Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraintsÂ
- Must have a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness
- Current Safe Food Handler’s CertificationÂ
