Overview
The Maintenance Technician supports the maintenance and repair of oil and gas production equipment and facilities. This is a hands-on field position suited for someone with oilfield experience and mechanical aptitude who is interested in developing their maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of production equipment and facilities.
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance on equipment such as separators, pumps, valves, compressors, heater treaters, wellheads, and other production equipment.
- Assist with equipment installations, repairs, component change-outs, and facility maintenance.
- Identify equipment issues, leaks, or abnormal operating conditions and assist with repairs.
- Use hand and power tools to perform mechanical maintenance.
- Follow LOTO, permit-to-work, and other established safety procedures when performing maintenance.
- Assist with startup, shutdown, isolation, and return-to-service activities.
- Complete work orders and required maintenance documentation.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Participate in on-call coverage and respond to equipment issues as needed.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of oil & gas field experience required.
- Experience may include lease crew, roustabout, oil & gas construction, production operations, field maintenance, or similar work.
- Hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing oil & gas production equipment required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
- Familiarity with oilfield safety practices, including LOTO, preferred.
- Ability and willingness to learn new equipment and develop additional maintenance/troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
