The Production Coordinator works directly on the manufacturing floor and is responsible for identifying and escalating material, documentation, system, labeling, or traceability discrepancies that could impact production, quality, or schedule attainment.
This is a hands-on production support position and is not a supervisory role.
Essential Functions:

Material Receipt and Verification
路聽Receive raw materials transferred from Warehouse to Production.
路聽Complete required Production Receipt transactions for materials received by Production.
路聽Verify material part numbers, quantities, lot/batch numbers, and other required identifying information.
路聽Compare physical materials against production orders, pick lists, bills of material, or other approved production documentation.
路聽Identify and report shortages, overages, damaged materials, incorrect materials, or other discrepancies.
路聽Ensure material discrepancies are resolved or properly escalated before affected production activities begin.
聽
Production Order Readiness
路聽Verify that the correct production order and supporting documentation are available before production starts.
路聽Confirm required raw materials, documentation, system information, and labels are available and accurate.
路聽Support production start-up readiness by identifying missing or incorrect information before it creates downtime.
路聽Immediately communicate conditions that could delay or prevent production from starting as scheduled.
聽
System Transactions and Traceability
路聽Use SAP, MES, PDA/scanners, and other approved systems to complete required production transactions.
路聽Scan materials and production information as required to maintain accurate material and product traceability.
路聽Maintain accurate production records and ensure system transactions correspond with physical materials and production documentation.
路聽Identify system discrepancies and escalate issues requiring correction or additional authorization.
聽
Barcode and Label Control
路聽Print barcode labels required for production.
路聽Verify labels for correct part number, lot/batch information, quantity, production order, and other required information.
路聽Ensure the correct labels are available before production begins.
路聽Prevent incorrect or unverified labels from being released to production.
聽
Production Completion Support
路聽Identify and communicate raw material overages remaining after completion of a production work order.
路聽Notify the Production Lead or Production Supervisor of unused or excess materials requiring disposition or return.
路聽Support accurate reconciliation of materials used versus materials issued to production.
聽
Quality, Safety, and Compliance
路聽Follow all established Safety, Quality, Production, Material Control, and Document Control procedures.
路聽Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company requirements.
路聽Immediately escalate material, labeling, documentation, traceability, or system issues that could affect product quality or production.
路聽Maintain an organized and controlled production support area.
路聽Participate in training, continuous improvement activities, and other production initiatives as assigned.
路聽Perform other related duties consistent with the scope and level of the position.

Minimum Qualifications:
聽
Required
路聽High school diploma or GED required.
路聽Basic computer skills required.
路聽Ability to accurately read and verify part numbers, quantities, lot/batch numbers, labels, and production documents.
路聽Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
路聽Ability to maintain accurate records in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
路聽Ability to follow standardized work instructions and established procedures.
路聽Ability to communicate discrepancies promptly and clearly to Production leadership.
路聽Ability to work effectively with Production, Warehouse, Quality, and other supporting functions.

Preferred
路聽Previous manufacturing, production support, material control, inventory, or warehouse experience.
路聽Experience supporting production orders or manufacturing work orders.
路聽Experience using SAP, MES, ERP, or similar manufacturing systems.
路聽Experience using PDA devices, handheld scanners, or barcode systems.
路聽Experience with material traceability, lot/batch control, production documentation, or inventory transactions.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:聽
路聽Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, and varying temperatures
路聽Ability to stand and walk on the production floor for extended periods throughout the workday
路聽Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 25 pounds
路聽Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and navigate throughout the manufacturing facility
路聽Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while on the production floor
路聽Ability to support flexible work hours as needed to support production schedules and operational demands
