Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Ocean County YMCA - TOMS RIVER, NJ 08755Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $16.50 - $17.50 HourlyTravel Percentage: NonePOSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction and supervision of the Child Watch Supervisor, the Child Watch Attendant (CWA) is responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children. The CWA must posses and demonstrate the ability to engage in all activities associated with the daily care, activities associated with the daily care, activities and routine of the Child Watch. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Ensure proper care and safety of children at all times 2. Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with parents, staff, volunteers and the community. 3. Must possess and demonstrate the ability to engage in all activities associated with the daily care, activities and routines of children, including but not limited to: interacting with children at floor level, physical education, activities such as running, jumping and etc: lifting children and equipment. Participating in activities, diapering and toileting as needed. 4. Report any broken equipment/toys to ensure the safety of the children 5. Attends meetings and training, as scheduled. 6. Maintain proper records; sign in sheets; times sheets for supervisor; 7. Promptly report any problems concerning any injuries or situations that may arise. Complete any necessary forms with staff and/or parents. Report to supervisor immediately. 8. Be familiar with emergency procedures 9. Ensure the needs of the member are met and members are happy confident and comfortable with Child Watch services we provide at the OCYMCA. 10. Performs additional duties/responsibilities/projects as directed by the Child Watch Supervisor.
