Job DetailsJob Location: Toms River, NJ 08754Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $47.00 - $51.00 HourlyJob Shift: VariesJOB SUMMARY The Licensed Clinician Alcohol and Drug Counselor provides direct counseling and therapeutic services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This role is responsible for assessment, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, case management, and discharge planning. The clinician collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams to support recovery and reduce relapses in a correctional or community-based setting. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES •    Conduct substance use assessments and develop individualized treatment plans •    Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based practices •    Maintain a regular caseload and document all services in compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations •    Refer clients to appropriate external services and coordinate care with outside providers as needed •    Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary •    Collaborate with medical, mental health, and case management teams •    Participate in quality improvement activities, case conferences, and staff meetings •    Ensure compliance with confidentiality laws, ethical standards, and licensing board regulations •    Provide psychoeducation on addiction, recovery, and coping skills •    Maintain CPR and other required certifications •    Conducts comprehensive assessments for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders •    Performs other duties as assigned       QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS •    Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred •    Active state licensure as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor  •    CPR certification required •    Minimum of 2 years of experience in substance use treatment or a related behavioral health setting preferred •    Knowledge of addiction treatment models, recovery-oriented systems of care, and trauma-informed practices •    Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic health records (EHRs) •    Correctional experience preferred  FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS •    Ability to pass all required health and other screening tests •    May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays •    On-call duty may be required (available to work on short notice) ORGANIZATIONAL EXPECTATIONS •    Provides a positive and professional representation of CFG Health Systems, LLC. •    Promotes a culture of safety for patients and employees through proper identification, reporting, documentation, and prevention •    Maintains competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends, and developments in related scope of job role or practice •    Adheres to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations •    Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities •    Completes required orientation as directed by the facility •    Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment •    Follows facility and CFG Health Systems Occurrence Protocol •    Upholds HIPAA and PREA regulations •    Punctual and dependable for assigned/confirmed shifts •    Maintains security clearance for the assigned facility PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
