Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Toms River, NJ 08753Position Type: Per DiemEducation Level: 2 Year DegreeSalary Range: $47.50 - $50.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: Health CareAMI is seeking a per diem Mammography / Dexa Technologist to join the Toms River Women's Center team for Wednesday coverage! This is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient radiology practice.  Looking for additional shifts? Other coverage opportunities are available in the region!  AMI offers the 401K retirement benefit to Per Diem employees. Offered rates increase based on years of work experience. The Mammography / Dexa Technologist is responsible for but not limited to: Performs mammography examinations according to the technical standards established by the radiology department Utilizes instructional information and methods as established by the management. According to office policy, provides for the safety, health and well-being of all patients, visitors and co-workers. Becomes familiar with and ready to respond to emergency codes and life safety practices as established by the Practice. Performs all other related duties as assigned to ensure that optimum radiologic care, efficient and orderly flow of patients and safe, expedient office operation occurs daily. Provides informal supervision and instructional advice to non-technical personnel assigned to the work area. Utilizes all departmental clerical equipment including computerized information system, copy machines, etc., to ensure that all required office record keeping and documentation is accurate, timely and accessible.  This per diem position will provide coverage in the AMI Toms River Women's Center. The consistent shift is Wednesday 8am-4:30pm. Other coverage opportunities may be scheduled as needed based on candidate availability and department needs.  QualificationsQualified candidates are graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with Mammography certification. Candidates must have a current and valid Radiologic Technologist license in the State of NJ. American Heart Association or Red Cross CPR/BLS certification (hands-on instruction) is required prior to start of employment. Must have full knowledge of all aspects concerning radiation protection.
