We specialize in four areas including custom machinery, precision fabrication, automated systems for medical device manufacturing, and contract manufacturing.  Keller delivers sophisticated manufacturing solutions for many industries including Engineered Materials, Semiconductors, Robotics, Chemicals, Medical and Life Science, Energy Research, and Industrial Technologies.  We are currently seeking to fill the following position for our Buffalo location.  Manufacturing Engineer We are looking for a highly motivated, well organized, team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. High degree of ownership, and desire to make those around you better. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of manufacturing including welding, machining, inspection, and assembly.  RESPONSIBILITIES Construct and support detailed manufacturing plans for complex parts and assemblies throughout the entire manufacturing process Develop procedures and travelers to ensure successful execution of the manufacturing plan. Create step-by-step manufacturing models or drawings that will be used throughout the manufacturing process Support Project Managers with technical expertise Investigate solutions to difficult challenges that arise during a project Participate in project meetings and communicate with customers Structure BOMs and MOMs in ERP system Utilize good analytical and design skills with the ability to “think out of the box” for concept development Perform mechanical design and calculations Drive LEAN practices and cGMP Assist in developing equipment pricing Assist with supplier evaluations Assist with debug of the automation equipment Assist with installation at customer sites if required Develop and deliver presentations to external and internal customers Adherence to company policies and ISO Standards Provide assistance in all departments as required by KTC management QualificationsREQUIREMENTS Knowledge of machine components, geometric tolerances, machining fabrication processes, machine controls and pneumatics Experience and/or knowledge of welding and fabrication Experience in an environment that fabricates custom equipment and industrial machinery Experience required in the Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD and SolidWorks Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook) Good communication skills are needed for conveying design specification, process details, and control strategies to potential clients and internal customers Knowledge of ERP system and necessary modules within Must be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent planning and organizational skills Proven experience working in a fast paced, high energy environment with an ability to multi-task and adjust to ever-changing priorities Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical design EDUCATION Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing discipline is required KTC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and strong advocate of workforce diversity.
