Job Description:

Total Wrecking is looking to hire a Project Manager for oversight of large-scale asbestos abatement and demolition projects. Must be able to read and understand project plans and specifications. Experience with waste tracking/manifesting, recordkeeping, submittal preparation, planning/scheduling, and subcontractor oversight and coordination is preferred.


Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Managing Member and Senior Project Manager聽
  • Oversee all aspects of demolition projects from planning to implementation聽
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain the following Scope of Work activities:聽
    • Schedule of Values聽
    • Submittals聽
    • Pay Requisitions聽
    • RFI聽
    • RFC聽
    • Project Schedule聽
  • Develop cost, schedule, and scope for Change Orders聽
  • Assist with estimating in the awarding of contract聽
  • Allocate resources for assigned projects:聽
    • Labor聽
    • Material聽
    • Equipment聽
  • Work with and manage Superintendents聽
  • Interface with:聽
    • Project Inspectors聽
    • Contractors聽
    • Architects聽
    • Engineers聽
    • Clients聽
    • City, County, State, and Federal Representatives聽
  • Negotiate with Subcontractors聽
  • Issue Subcontracts聽
  • Review insurance requirements for each project聽
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications聽
  • Sense of urgency to deliver projects on time with zero punch lists聽
  • Ability to face challenging situations聽
  • Make effective decisions on a timely basis, sometimes with limited information聽
  • Dedication to delivering a safe and productive work site聽
  • Ability to work with multiple internal departments at a single time

Requirements

  • 聽Bachelor in Engineering, Business, or equivalent, preferred, not required聽
  • 5 years previous experience in Project Management聽
  • Self-motivated and organized聽
  • Strong leadership qualities聽
  • Strong negotiation skills聽
  • Deadline & detail orientated聽
  • Ability to use Microsoft Products:聽
  • i.e. Outlook, Word, Projects, Excel聽
  • Knowledge of Scheduling Software:聽
  • Primavera is preferred聽
  • Contract negotiation and development聽

Ability to read Project Documents:聽

  • Drawings聽
  • Specifications聽
  • Contracts聽
  • Track production聽


  • Coordinate with remote jobsites聽
  • Manage Purchase Orders聽
  • Obtain and review quotes聽
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at a single time聽

  • Working knowledge of contract and municipal law preferred聽
  • Familiar with BlueBeam or the ability to learn new software quickly聽
