As a Nutrition Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our nutrition program by providing administrative and operational assistance. QualificationsKey Roles (Essential Job Responsibilities)  Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and delivery of meals and snacks according to established guidelines and dietary requirements. Monitor food inventory and ensure proper storage and handling procedures are followed. Collaborate with Nutrition Coordinator to implement meal plans that meet the nutritional needs of Club Members. Educate Club Members on basic nutrition principles and healthy eating habits. Collect and record dietary intake information from clients or patients for review by nutrition professionals. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas. Support in the planning and execution of nutrition-related educational workshops or events. Always adhere to health and safety regulations and protocols. Additional Responsibilities Perform other related duties as requested by supervisor Meet the nutritional guidelines and expectations set forth by the USDA Complete the required training within the first 30 days of employment   Knowledge / Skills Required High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in nutrition or dietetics is a plus. Previous experience in a healthcare setting, community nutrition program, or food service environment preferred. Basic understanding of nutrition principles and dietary guidelines. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
