Sales & Trade Financial Analyst

On behalf of our client, a world-renowned leader in the food manufacturing industry, we are seeking a talented Trade Spend Financial Analyst to join their team in Etobicoke. ·         Abilityto create complex financial models using Excel or Access.
·         Abilityto perform detailed analysis of revenues/expenses to identify trends, variancesand underlying performance factors.
·         Abilityto work in cross-functional teams to resolve business issues.
·         Abilityto extract useful/relevant information from various independent financialsystems and create comprehensive, understandable analysis.
·         Ad-hocanalyses as needed.

SpecificResponsibilities:

·         Manageoverall Trade Deduction levels.
·         Productionof monthly Trade financial reports.
·         Conductmonthly Trade reviews to understand the overall financial position and ratevariance to budget.
·         Keycontact for Interim and Year end Audit for Trade.
·         Develop,analyze and review components of the Company’s annual budget and forecasts.
·         Completethe Company’s monthly reporting including explaining variances compared tobudget and/or forecasts and analyzing the full year impact of the variances.
·         Helpdevelop and maintain modeling tools and reports that identify relevant trendsand issues surrounding the profitability of the Company.
·         Ensurethe integrity of various analysis tools through periodic reviews of the basedata.
·         Continuousimprovement of process currently used in reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
·         SupportFinance Manager on various analytical initiatives and ad hoc reporting.

Education/SkillRequirements:

·         Accountingdegree in accounting or finance.
·         3– 5 years of experience in a financial or accounting-related position
